Nice-looking dog...almost seems like a feeling of triumph on nabbing the chair. You have encompassed a wide tonal range in this,without losing detail in the lightest fur tones on the dog's chest. I think it might benefit from just a bit more contrast in the middle tones, and maybe also the darker tones of the chair, mainly because there are two very large blocks of dark chair, and uniformly-toned doggy fur. I like the way almost the entire picture area has "dog" close to the edges of the photo--that also works well with the way she's (? girl dog I am guessing) sort of spreading out and OWNING! that chair.

Thanks. Yes she's a girl and very proud when she steals a seat.
Good point on the black parts of the chair. Maybe I'll do a mask and lighten that area. As for the fur tones, non of her fur is the same shade or colour. Runs from white, to tan to brown/red. Makes it hard to get an even B&W.
