Memorial day is for those that died in war. The graves in the towns and cities around the country get a u.s. flag for those that died. As you can imagine with the amount of wars the u.s. has been in we have a lot of graves with flags on this day..



Here the highschool marching band plays something like "my country tis of thee" and it is usually a fairly small parade for remembrance.
