Can others edit my Photos
Photos OK to edit
Just bought a DSLR. I have ZERO photography experience. At this point trying to learn as much as I can about photography and photoshop. Still trying to find my identity as a photographer.

You want to watch your framing and composition. Like in #1, you cut off part of his head. In photography you try to avoid this at all cost. Its distracting to the eye, and can often cause a potentially wonderful image to lack. But overall good start. Im sure you'll progress and learn quickly here!

Thanks! I've found myself struggling with framing shots, but I think I'm getting a little bit better, like with #6 (The woman over the bar)

your house seems to be a little crooked in the 4th, might wanna get that checked out!

The best advice I can give to you is to keep taking pictures and learn what all the buttons do through your manual, and also through youtube. Don't worry about your pictures being artistically amazing, get the basics down and learn all the technical stuff around it first. And for god's sake do yourself a favor and don't ask for a C&C for a while. Certain people on this forum forget that this is the beginners forum, see C&C in your title, and treat your images like they are up for auction at an art show and they will tear it apart.

Don't worry about composition just yet, learn the camera first. Learn what your light meter is for, and learn how to control it. Learn what your aperture, focal lengths, shutter speed and ISO are and how to control them and then learn how these and the meter tie together. Photography is all about light. The more light, the better. And last but not least, have fun with it. Get creative, and try stuff out. Ask a million stupid questions, and ignore everyone that complains. Someone will help you.

just like he ^^^ said, Learn and have fun, Use the camera like a toy play with it, take the same photo using diferent settins and see how each setting changes the outcome. dont be afraid of the manual modes, as using them will just make you a better photographer. and dont forget to have fun while your doing it.

Thanks for the advice. I've been taking photos everyday. In fact yesterday I took something like 145 pictures. Maybe only 12-15 were even decent looking, but at least I'm learning. I feel like I have a good understanding of aperture, shutter speed, and ISO, tying them together is a real challenge though. I guess I kind of understand the different metering modes (evaluative, center weighted, etc...) but I'm having trouble understanding when to use it and in what modes.

As far as people on this site tearing me apart, I'm not worried about it. My full time job is a strength and conditioning coach/personal trainer, so I'm used to noobs asking ME a lot of "dumb" questions about exercise, and I know it can get frustrating. Plus I've got thick skin
