Last night was able to get the first test of my new telescope, an Astro-Tech 130mm refractor. I call her Big Bertha! Here is the first image captured with it. M81 and M82. A pair of galaxies located near Ursa Major. I am SUPER impressed with the scope, already. A mere 76 minutes of integration yielded great results! Then clouds rolled in and ruined the rest of the night..
The second image is an annotated version of the first image, which identified 22 additional, distant galaxies in the image (the ones labeled in green)!
The third image is the imaging setup with my new telescope, for reference.
Scope: Astro-Tech AT130EDT refractor
Celestron AVX mount
Orion Starshoot Autoguider
Orion 60mm Guide Scope
ZWO ASI2600MC Pro camera
Optolong L-Pro light polution filter
Pegasus Astro Powerbox
19 x 240sec Lights
15 darks
15 flats
50 bias
Processed in PixInsight and Photoshop
