A whole day at Edwards Gardens and not much worthy to show for it. I did learn that to shoot Macro of live subjects you have to have the right equipment. --- a good Macro lens and good lighting. I used a reverse ring setup and hand held my shots. I should have used a tripod.

I find them pretty good considering the hand held and reverse ring.

Beautiful! May I ask which lens? I do this with my 50mm f/1.8 reversed on my T3i body and am currently rendering a tutorial I put together for reverse macro that includes video whilst shooting and how to make adjustments in post.

I used a Sigma 28-300mm Zoom lens. At the 28mm size I can get to within just over an inch. Going out to the 300 I can move back to 4 feet. But after shooting live, I feel like I have to get a good Macro lens with good micro lighting system.
