Macro matches

I recently gave a try to macro, and took the picture you can see here. I' m pretty proud of it, as I only begin in photography. What do you think of it?

I think your shot is okay. It looks really white and flat though. Personally I would have upped the contrast, dynamics, blacks, and range, so you get something more like this...
Its just a quick jpeg edit that is re-sized, so the IQ might suffer a little, but you can at least get where I'm coming from.

I can't tell if the match on the left is burning, or whether it's just a concentrated beam of light shining on it (magnifying glass used to aim sunlight).

It looks nice, try a lower iso and faster shutter speed to fight the brightness and so u will be able to see the flame better, the light from the flame will cast some of its own nice looking shadows on the opposite side of the matches. It does look a little flat but thats the brightness taking away from the depth and contrast. Nice photo, it just needs a bit of fine tuning 'imo'
