Hello to all!
I am new here in the forum and I'd like to introduce myself with my latest project.
I am not shure, if i post it in the right place, i hope this fits into the "people theme"

I was very fascinated of the in-helmet-sequences of the ironman movies, so i tried this on myself. After a bunch of hours of illustrator and photoshop (and much hours of industrial metal (to get into the right atmosphere )) i can't decide if i did a good job or not.
What do you think?

This is excellent!

However, to be pedantic, I find that your middle 'icon; in that bottom tray with the red and green is not centered. rather make the whole icon image visible.
And top left that red box - those lines coming off it make the overall box resemble an insect. Perhaps restrict one or two lines to one bend rather than two. And that line on the very left looks awkward. I would rather just remove it completely.

And to be REALLY finicky, your red box on the right, the perspective feels lightly off with the curve. It feels like it doesnt quite follow the curve of the face.

But overall this is a really great piece! I love it!

Hey guys, a BIG thank you to your kind words!
ryanwaff, with not centered, did you mean, that the whole symbol, the circle, is not centered in the image (the face) or did you mean, the symbol within the circle is rotated to much in the left?
With the red lines you are right, i tried to make something very sci-fi-ish, but the outcome is an insect, that bothers me a bit, is worth to improove!
And the red box, yes, now, that you mentioned it i see, the perspective is not choosen right. This was the last element i've added and here you see my biggest weekness: i often can't wait to finish the things, so i am to overhasty. Much times it would be bedder to wait a day and look at the project with fresh eyes.

I am new here, but i must say you guys are wery friendly and competently, much bedder than in other forums (the german and italian ones)..

Very neat. The icons are hiding you face, in a big way for me. Particularly the center one. If they were lower by 1/4"-1/2" it would feel better. Also, the red square and the circle on the right don't seem to have the same curve as the other elements. Otherwise very neat! That must have been fun.

For what it's worth, I have never seen the Ironman movies.

I meant that the symbol within the circle is not centered and has a slight rotation offset to the right.

I know exactly what you mean about being too hasty towards the end haha! I sometimes just want to get it done and dont take as much care as I should. But even then, your 'overhasty' still produces a great final image!

I tried to keep the shortcuts (the symbols on the bottom) looking as a sphere, but that have gone completely lost. I think because of the circles.
While the work there was a permanent dilemma of ceeping a 3d effekt, without loosing the legibility of the words. But i think the only thing readable is the red "insect" thing..
Techniker, at this point i would recommend to watch the movies, i would also post a link of the HUD sequences, but then, my photo, compared with the original, look this laaaame ...
But on the movie a whole floor of the CGI-group worked on it .
