Been trying for a close up for quite a while and I finally get a chance when it's snowing :sexywink2:

Kudos This is an overlooked bird that is a great subject for photography (wish we had them in my neck of the woods) I think one reason so few photograph them is because of all the negative folklore(read people who burnt witches) has spread about them. One of the most intelligent birds (many studies done) that exist. Right up there in the Crow class. I would spend an entire morning watching those thieves, when I was a kid (no luckily I was not born and raised down here!) lol

Very nicely done! In my experience, Magpies are very wary birds and difficult to approach closely enough to photograph.
