While the color and focus are nice, I think this photo misses for a variety of reasons.
Most important is that the center of interest, as defined in the title, is missing.
If instead we shift on the interesting position of the right hand and its little finger on the edge of the wood table as the actual center, then the viewer has to deal with its placement and the fact that it is holding a power tool whose working point and the focus of the position of the other hand is hidden.
Most of the center of the image is taken up by a lovely but non-contributing view of sunlight on the roof of the shop which isn't really adding to the ideas of the picture and certainly doesn't justify the amount and prominence of space it takes up.
Lastly, the magnifying glasses are at such an angle that they aren't readily identifiable and there is no face visible below them. So there is a disconnected from the head hovering above the workbench.
While it is easy to quickly like this because of the color and technical pluses, the composition falls short and, I think the picture is a miss because of that.
