Man Sawing Wood

I would rather have seen some much more of his face and much less of the building behind him.

That thing in mid-air and the building are both distracting.
The saw is virtually edge on as is the plank he is sawing.
A better angle and moment are called for.

Nice exposure and developing do not make this picture a success.

I feel like there's some possibility here echoing the shapes of the windows behind in the saw frame, but this picture didn't get that.

What is he building? It is boat-shaped, but does not appear to be a boat at all (unless he's using some extremely unorthodox building techniques..)

Thanks for the observation Andrew, that hadn't occurred to me. He's working on a church spire, which will have an onion shape a bit like those on the Kremlin in Moscow.
