Ive heard different things about which specific model replaced the 3030, but these two look pretty similar.
I used to own the 3030, and liked it, although a bubble level would have been nice. Am looking to purchase a 3021 tripod soon, and am wondering if anyone here has experience with these two heads.
The 804RC2 is a bit pricier than the 3030, and I read is made of polymer. The new design looks nice, lighter is good, but plastic makes me uneasy. Im leaning towards the 3030 again for price and that 57' Chevy feeling. Any opinions? Any differences Im not seeing?

I had a 3030 head at one time and had no problems with it. No experiance at all with the 804RC2 though

No experience with the 3030 but I use the 3028.
It swings and flips every which way. I've had it for more than 10 years and have never had a problem or missed a composition.
I'm sure there are better but I'm not a professional by any means.
