We had a rare stormy day for this time of the year. I decided to go out to the west side of town to an area that has a fairly uncluttered horizon, in the hope of getting some nice color as the sun set through the clouds. The wind was howling, I had the strap around my neck even though the camera was on a tripod and a hand on the tripod holding it down. I took a few shots while waiting for the show, and the damned tornado siren goes off. I could see the sky in front of me, and the sky behind me was virtually clear, so I waited hoping maybe I'd get some shots of a (hopefully) distant tornado. It never materialized, nor did the colors I hoped for. Oh well. Eventually the clouds became too solid.
