Here's my picks from it. My favorite from the day is the one in the "Grace" thread from yesterday. The wind was blowing... bugs were biting... I don't know. It just wasn't "clicking" for me and that was frustrating. But Daddy (and all his friends and family) have LOVED the peeks I've put up on Facebook so if he's happy, I'm happy

I would re-word it this way:Here are my picks from a wonderful father/daughter set that I shot recently. Yesterday, I thought that my favorite from the day was the one posted in the "Grace" thread from yesterday, but now that I see them posted here together, I realize these are pretty special too. To be honest I'm kinda' in love with this session. He was reserved, and she was easily distracted like most 7 year olds and wouldn't sit still, the wind was blowing... bugs were biting...and yet we managed to make some wonderful family photos which will become even more precious as the years go by. Daddy (and all his friends and family) have LOVED the peeks I've put up on Facebook, and since he and his family and friends are all happy campers, well let's just say that I'm a happy camper too.

^^Excellent post! ^^ To be honest, other than perhaps some minor cropping, I think these are a nice, strong set.

Well thank you! I am my own worst critic for sure. But you guys make me feel better. I am definitely 10x harder on myself and my work than anyone else is. It's good that I am critical, but bad too because I can be high-strung and known to nitpick my photos to death.

I don't think he looks awkward at all. These are nice family photos.

And calling one of your clients awkward in a public photography forum that he may very well see probably isn't the best for business. <<< Just a thought.

Yeah.. agreed. Too hard on yourself! The first crop feels the most awkward for me but overall I think they are nice. I am sure they are thrilled with them and that's really what matters isn't it?

Ok ok I will edit my OP. I was frustrated with myself because I am a perfectionist to a fault. It's definitely the client's opinion that matters most in the end.

I think they're a lovely set - if you can draw such sweet images out of a difficult session you've got skills.

This is a fairly common attitude, but getting over it will do you a world of good in the long run. I know I haven't made a perfect photograph or perfect anything, but at some point I just have to say; "I've done what I can at this time." and let it go.
