me trying to make a spotlight picture work!

this was an attempt to try to create a spotlight form above, i think i need the light up further!

try and diffuse the light so it's not a large beam right onto the subject. maybe like some pieces of paper over the light, depending on the size of it. just not a straight heavy beam, get creative!
