Melbourne Sunset

Any tips on improving my sunset shots? Just bought myself a Cokin Z-Pro set with 3 GNDs and also got a Hitech 10 stopper ND filter. Hope that will come in handy.

Since you have filters, try this: slow shutter speed. Give it a shutter speed of a t least 30 seconds. This will give that photo the amazing effect of movement! Try changing the white balance to realy emphasize the orange of the subset too! Don't try just landscape pics, zoom into the sun and clouds, youll be suprised. But this was an amazing pic, I was stunned when I saw it. You have great potential.

perfect comp on the first to take advantage of that amazing sky. On the second its too much empty space, I would have zoomed in for a tighter skyline shot. I agree increase your shutter speed for movement. You should notice a big difference with the filters, they will let you capture everything in one frame with smooth transitions from sky to city. If the skyline is very uneven will have to be careful about GND placement though.

Looks like you got a little too friendly with the fill light slider in LR. They look a bit flat and need some more DR.
