Can others edit my Photos
Photos OK to edit
Took a few photos of just testing a few things with the new camera. Leave feedback on things you like as well as things I may need to improve in my shots. Thanks!!!! I tried to keep a large amount of DOF as well as keep the object in an element it might be used in, unlike a coffee table or the bathroom counter. I really wanted to emphasis the object, some what advertisement like I guess you could say.

i would've cleaned and polished the blade

and the orientation is awkward on the last

I find the composition a bit awkward in all of these; they're a good start, but product photography is a very difficult discipline to master, especially highly reflective products. The shallow DoF to isolate the knife is a good idea, but I would compose the images such that the whole image is in sharp focus and have the blade rather closer to 90 deg/vertical. Watch your backgrounds; the large bright areas in all three images are very distracting as the eye naturally goes to the bright areas of an image.

Just my $00.02 worth - your mileage may vary.

Thanks I agree about the bright background as well as possible trying a vertical angle to give a true view of the knife versus just an angled pov. I may try a vertical angle in the dirt w/ the background slightly more in focus but not completely.
