Metz 54MZ-4 TTL Flash SCA 3102

What are your oppinions on this flash? I found a used one on craigslist. Shall I buy this or go for a canon flash? I have a Canon EOS 500D (T1i).

Pretty darned good flash unit from all the reports I have heard. A few years back it was very highly regarded...probably still is...I just don't hang out in the same circles as I used to back then...
