    They rarely miss, John. They chase their prey much differently than a Great Blue Heron or Great Egret who wait patiently for their prey to appear. Tri-colors literally run through the water, often with their necks dipped and beaks merely a half inch or so above the water. I think the focus on this one is a touch off, so didn't use it for the initial post but you can see what I mean.
