I would like to know if this particular lens and my camera an SRT 101 Minolta are compatible. The lens is a Vivitar 200mm Auto telephoto lens IMG_8423.JPG

Well it's kind of hard to tell since that isn't the end that attaches to the camera.

Some are, some aren't. Vivtar made lenses for several camera brands (I have two that fit Nikons), the key difference being the mount.

You can try to mount the lens on the camera. Just be careful if there are any electrical connections on either the camera or the lens. It should go on easily and click into place if the mount is right. You can try it.

There shouldn't be any electrical connections on the SRT101. I don't even think that model offered a hot shoe (Dad's didn't).
