minolta xg-1

hi-everyone -great website----bought a minolta xg-1 with a minolta mc w. rokkor-sg 1:3.5 f=28mm lens ,put new batteries in meter works great,my problem is the shutter and film advance lever will not work also when you look through viewfinder you see fuzz(like the ones around the film door edge),does it need film to make this camera work.thanks michael

Yes you need film. It is a film camera. Busted film advance is common on these. Just buy another one.
