What's new

Misery Bay, Lake Erie

The HDR work is done well, not much contrast to deal with.

I'm just wondering why you cut off part of the monument in both pictures.

Isn't that Presque Isle?
The fact that the statue is cropped really kills the image. There's no real subject. The HDR is a bit much for my taste, but I am not one for the more fake looking HDR stuff. I much prefer it to be totally unnoticeable.

Sorry, I'm with MLeek and Fanboy on this one. Chopping the monument ruined the photo and I've only really been a fan of one extreme HRD on TPF. It was a mining car at an amusment park, and to me it wasn't even a photo any longer. It was more like a cartoon.

BTW, if anyone can point me to that ming photo, I'd be grateful. Hijack unintended

Me too .... I do not like the crop and the lean does not help. HDR is such a personal thing and I am not fond of it when it is so exaggerated.

Huh. I learned something new. I never knew that portion of Presque Isle was Misery Bay. I had to look it up. Boy am I brilliant! LOL!

I think the only way the composition would work would be if you could actually read the plaque. Without that, it looks haphazard...

I really like the lighting in the first one, but its struggling compositionally.
