Misty Dawn - Critique away!

I think I prefer the wider one, actually. The closer one is great - nice and cozy. The wider one, though, feels like it's opening up and hinting at something bigger, and that's intriguing.

I don't, i notice the blurry trees more on the wide shot, where I almost ignore it on the closer shot.

But i prefer the 2nd post better as it cropped out the tree limb on the top right corner.

Nice tone and subject. I prefer the tighter shot; it accentuates the boathouse and rising mist better, especially if you want to have it as wall art.

Been flicking back and forth between the images - all very good, but in the end I like the wide shot the best. If judging, I'd give it a 95%. The middle one is at 90% and the first one is at 85%, mainly due to the little bit of branch coming in at the upper right. What moves the wide shot above the middle one, are things such as the shore reflection is stronger, the mist is more visible, and the grasses in the foreground seem to balance the dark of the far shore in a better way.

Edit: the niggle (Thanks, Leonore!) that I notice is the brightening of the sky just behind the trees. Can't decide if that was due to some clouds, or haloing from post processing.
