Photos from the Mitchell River National Park in far east victoria, australia (about 30 mins north of the town of Bairnsdale)
Visited the "Den of Nargun" which is a sacred place to the Gunai Kurnai women (traditional owners of the land where the park is situated) where the Nargun lived, a being half human, half stone. Children of the tribe were told stories about how the Nargun would eat children to keep them away from the area
Also visited the ruins of the Glenadale Weir, built in the 1860s and destroyed by floods in the 1890s and never repaired
