Molting Male Cardinal

Both Cardinals and Bluejays look ridiculous when molting. Their head molts all at once and stays that way for several days.

I knew this happened with Bluejays but I didn't realise Cardinals did it too.

Yes, Bluejays, Cardinals and probably others. I have photos of molting Bluejays too.
