Nice shot, Chase! There are times when I wish I had a telephoto. I haven't done a moon shot in a long time, and I've never done a good one. Great exposure on that!

Nice shot Chase. Good moon shots are much harder than you think and you hit the mark with this one.

Have you tried it at a slower ISO? I'm not exactly digital savvy, but wouldn't that provide more/higher quality detail? 1/500th sec should be fast enough to handhold a 210mm lens, and you could go down to ISO 400.

Actually, part of my goal was to check out the quality of the cam using 1600 ISO. I was pretty shocked at how good it looked.

Of course great shot! Personally, I would like to hear details of the D70. I am considering buying one. I have read Nikon's side of the story, but for some reason I think they are a little biased.

That is a good shot, Chase, even with the extra fast speed. I'd like to see another one at about half that, too.

Either way, I love, love, LOVE a good texture-y moon shot. :thumbsup:
