So I decided to take my Nikon D90 with a 35mm 1.8G lens on our cruise this past week. This was the first time I used it outside of messing around the house with it. This was also my first time shooting in Manual mode, but with auto ISO set at max of 1600. Feel free to critique any of my photos as I am trying to get better. I have to say I love the double dials on the D90. None of the following have been edited outside of maybe cropping or straightening.

All very well done. Nice color in each. Depth of field is excellent. Love the rooster! :)
Thank you, I like the rooster photos a lot. We were on Seven Mile Beach on Grand Cayman Island and they were all over the beach. They were eating scraps of red beans and rice and jerk chicken that the locals were selling next to the beach. The food was phenomenal by the way.

Nice ones.

Whats the species of reptile there in the last shot? A type of iguana?

It is a Black Spiny-tailed Iguana and there were quite a few on the island we were on. They stayed in the shaded areas of the coconut trees and didn’t come out to the beach area.

Ah! My favorite place! The Cayman Islands! I've been many places, but I'll go back there any day. We spent a week there last November. Those chickens are everywhere. And the blue iguanas, too.

I was very happy with the D90 and how easy it was to use. So much so, that I came across another like new D90 with an 18-105mm lens and bought it as a backup.
