I did not expecting Osprey at this location but I was a little lucky along with other photographers there. We are just enjoying the sight... I ended up only taking pictures of Osprey. He put up quite a show for us like an hour. I also saw a Kingfisher there as well but he was way too far. I will probably return for the kingfisher and hopefully I can get closer.

Al,

Sweet shots Wackii. Even though it looks great, I think maybe the rich blue sky looks a little too rich. I struggle with how much should be done also.

Was the new spot anywhere South?

Jacaranda,

I took these at Bolsa Chica, the place you showed me last time. It's close by the area where they fenced off. It wasn't too blue on my monitor. I guess I will tone down the blue a bit. Thanks for the C&C and showing me the area. I saw a belted kingfisher hanging around there. I can't get close enough to it but I will give another shot when I am free. Check it out when you have time.

Cool. I got a "like" from the Osprey Master :)

beautiful set, #3 is my fav. you could probably even crop in a little tighter on it if you wanted...great stuff....although your title made me thing I was going to see some osprey copulation going on....haha

Hahaha. I know once I hit submit and realized it... It was too late to change it... Thanks for the crop suggestion. I have plenty of pixels to crop on that picture.

So, I gotta ask, was someone else there shooting at the *exact* same time as you?

I thought this guy's image #3 looked familiar

 Whoa!! That's just freaky...
At first I thought it had to be the same picture, and maybe that was just the OP's username on another forum. But it's a slightly different photo, just clearly the same bird and same fish in the same spot.

So, OP, did you have a friend with you or did some complete stranger just happen by to take the same shot and then post it online?? Or IS that FM Forum username your alter ego and you just posted something slightly different there?

Nice shots by the way, although I agree that it turns out, there's such a thing as a sky that is TOO blue.
And I *think* the white thing someone else referred to may be the small part of the tree limb that sticks up to the left of the osprey (photo right) where a branch used to be. It's only the tiniest bit distracting, but it'd be easy to crop out, and I'd probably do so if it were mine.
