The sky on both of these is underexposed, but I'm learning

Both of these photos look very... Appalachian. The second one is neat, if you're wanting criticism its kind of soft, but I don't think the noise is bad at all. Sharpening would help with the softness I'm seeing, but increase the noise you're seeing. I have a feeling preference is the only problem here.

BTW, we need to see a photo of that beautiful lady turned around (though not in the same photo). Something as gorgeous as a woman's eyes and smile needs to be showcased.
