I like the concept here, but I can't help thinking some different angles/compositions would make these even stronger. They look like the sort of images you'd see in a textbook in terms of being plumb/share, etc.

I agree with John. I think you're onto a really fun series, between these and the *sun* that I commented on.

But I'd like to see you play with the angles. For instance, that boot is awesome - clearly tossed out because it's got holes worn through it. Can we see more of the bottom of the boot? We'd also then see the nails from the missing boot heel more clearly. Very rough, very gritty.

Keep going, I like what you have so far!

I don't mind the angle as much as the lack of context. Items like these that are "distressed" usually work better with a fitting background, e.g., dirty pavement, old wood, etc., at least IMO.
