Morning Thunderstorms

Got a nice treat this morning, some decent lightning followed by a glorious sunrise led to some fairly good photo ops I thought.. Still need a DLSR to capture some of the colors better as my camera just can't do the job as much as I try to make it...

How do you capture the lightning so well?? Those pictures are some of the nicest I have ever seen, you do very good work.

Lightning is one of those very sensitive things, I use different exposures and f-settings to fine tune it and hopefully get it right. It took 45 minutes worth of pictures to get those two images this morning, so it can be a long painful process waiting... Especially at 4 am!!

great lightning captures... you should try running some of these through NeatImage or something similar, i think you might really like the results...

I guess I have never heard of 'NeatImage', what exactly would that do with the photos?
