Mosquito Getting Full

Snapped these pics with my iPhone X when leaving a client’s house this morning. I took a picture of the frog but then noticed a mosquito filling its belly and took another picture to get a better shot at the mosquito. Such an unusual sight, I thought. I wonder why the frog didn’t eat the mosquito. I really wished I would have had my Nikon P1000 with me as there were also some deer on the edge of the property and my iPhone just couldn’t get much of a shot as they were too far away.

Nice catch! We tend to think in terms of mosquitos feeding on humans, but they feed on anything with blood, and thus can transfer pathogens from one host to another.
