Can others edit my Photos
Photos NOT OK to edit
I was thinking about some of the photos that have been posted by members here during 2011 that made a huge impression on me. Here is my short (and incomplete) list of some my favorites, not in any particular order:

This makes me want to have the old monthly competition back

Links would be nice ;)

Is there a way to just capture the photo from a thread and not the entire thread? If so tell me how and I am on it!

The one I remember best was the guy that took a picture of his cat and noted that it was great because it contained an S-curve. That left a big impression on me.

Seriously though, I think I most easily remember the general quality of Overread's macro work.

There are a lot, but usually forgot about them because they are buried with all of the nonsense threads.

Cool!

I love Rainchecks! I don't remember seeing that one!

Oh, you could just quote the OP, delete all but the photo, which would give a link back to the OP, and then nobody can complain that you are posting other peoples work. LOL

There were a couple (pffft, if not all) from invisible.

I wanted to add this one too...

The Wave - McNugget

What do I need to do to be in the zone? I need instuctions...(Clearly there is no ill intent but I guess I am still a dummy about such thngs...) Help!

What are you guys taking about? This was really an innocent thing I did and I dont undertstand what is going on. Please let me know and I will fix right away if I can. I'm so sorry. Just let me know.

Find the post with the photo you like and click 'Reply with Quote'. That will put that whole post into your reply box, with quote tags and the link to the user/post. Just highlight and copy it from your reply box, then past it into the reply box in this thread. Take out extra text (if you want) and there you go.

Nothing wrong at all - all I would ask is that you put a link below each photo to the thread where it was originally posted.

We used to have (not that long ago either) a monthly competition that worked exactly like that - people would nominate others photos for the monthly award and then they'd post the photo (as you have) with a link back to the original thread. It's mostly died off now (partly a result that we no longer have a sponsored price for the event).

Another way to link direct to the post, would be to click on the post number (on the right hand side of each post's header bar). That will bring that post to the top of the page. The URL in your browser will then be a link directly to that post...which you can copy and paste into this thread.
