Most Unique Lens

Another member posted about a JCPenney 28mm 2.8 lens.

I was intrigued by this lens and found one online for Nikon and ordered it. It's an AI lens, so everything will be in manual, but it looked like a fun lens to play with that cost next to nothing.

It got me thinking...

What is the most unique lens you own? Do you use it? Post a pic with it...

I'd say the most unique (at least to me) is a Carl Zeiss 50/2.8 Tessar.

It's on the Tenax Automatic my dad bought when I was little, and it's the lens used to capture a lot of shots of me as a kid.

And yes, I have run film through it and it still works.

Here is a flatbed scanner file of an unusual lens...the Nikkor 45-P lens, one of two Nikkors that are manual focus, Ai-S series lenses, fitted with a factory CPU. The other P-Nikkor was the 500-P, a mid-1980's super-telephoto. This lens shipped with the screw in "bowl-type" lens hood model HN-35. It's not all that "exotic" except that for its unusual CPU status.

I used to own a Nikon 55mm 1.2 non ai, and a Nikon 85mm 1.4 ais, my dad has a Canon 7 Rangefinder with the Canon 50mm 0.95 "Dream Lens" now that is a unique lens.

Most unique lenses I have used are the 2 Tri Elmar's from Leica 3 prime focal lengths in one lens

Gary you're going to have me looking that one up.

I have a vintage Corfield 135mm made in the UK back in the day. Don't have a picture of it and it's wonky and dinged up but I use it (on film rangefinders and my digital camera).

Don't bother unless you are rich I borrowed my friends for both lenses over here you would be looking at nearly £8000 because they cannot be made anymore
