LOVE the expression on the daughter's face!!! I would like to see this just a bit brighter, and while I'm not sure if it's intentional or not, the WB is, on my [calibrated] monitor, giving them a slightly sickly appearance.

Very creepy. I'm not sure what to say about this one.

Yes, dark. I expect to see the daughters head do a 360.

I'd be tempted to go sepia, or even an offbeat, kind of weird-ish split-toning look in Lightroom. The expressions on these two are hard to read. This is the kind of image that could be changed quite a bit by some digital dodging and burning. I think the shadow areas drop off too rapidly, and that there needs to be a bit more of some kind of a mid-tone level in there somewhere. If you want this to be a color image, I think maybe a warmer, yet sort of "vintage color" effect would work pretty well. This is a bit "different" from many images, which is a good thing.

OK, here's a another version of this ... I took some tips from Scott Kelby's book, Light It Shoot It Retouch It, and did my best. I dropped the whole desat / sepia thing, and I think this one is a fuller frame, and brings out the smile more. Thoughts?

I liked the dark one better it had more character. starting to go snap shotish there

OK, this is kind of a coppery cyan thing from lightroom ... Derrel, is this the kind of thing you were talking about?

I don't think this "washes them out" the way the original might have

same as last post but less desat before split-tone.
