Motor lenses?

Enquiry about some lenses the other day and I received this reply

Thanks for your interest in both lenses. Both lenses do not have a built-in motor. Hence, it would need a body with motor for its autofocus to work. The D3100 does not have this, so both lenses will not work on autofocus with it. Best to look at Sigma lenses with HSM (Hypersonic Motor) built-in or Tamron lenses which indicates that there is a built-in motor with the lens.

What does that keen but more importantly what lens do I need help

You need lenses which have the following shortcuts in their name:

- Nikon: AF-S
- Sigma: HSM
- Tamron: ????

I havent found out yet what Tamron uses to mark an autofocus motor. All Tamron lenses I've checked out always had one.

All other companies that produce lenses for Nikon cameras are manual focus only.
