FINALLY the weather cooperated and I was able to get out and check out this vantage point for sunset. These were taken from the Tolmie Peak area in the northwest sector of the Park. I've visited this place once before many years ago but couldn't remember how well this might work for sunset photos.
Sunset itself wasn't the greatest but had some nice alpenglow. It's only about 3 miles from the trailhead so once sunset was over, it wasn't too bad a hike back in the dark, although the forest is pretty dang DARK once the sun disappears! Looking forward to trying again soon with a (hopefully) better sunset..
1. North Mowich Glacier
2. Echo Rock (foreground), Willis Wall and Carbon Glacier (background)
3. Liberty Cap
4. Eunice Lake and Mount Rainier from Tolmie Peak
5. Peak of sunset
6. Eunice Lake taken 15 minutes after sunset
Thanks for looking..
