Mounted iPad to tripod for instant viewing

I have everything I need except the iPad mount, but I am wondering if I took this mount to my tripod, used the connector/cable and shot in RAW/jpg, would I get an instant preview of each shot or can I shoot while my camera is hooked up to the iPad?
