Movie Review: The Troll Hunter

A nice change! Although it's done in the common faux-documentary format, it is a nice change from ghosts and vampires! Basically, some college students working on a project decide to follow a troll hunter as he hunts, yes, trolls. It's Norwegian, so it's subtitled. I enjoyed it. :thumbup:

That's what I got out of the Trailer. I wouldn't see it if it wasn't available with my Netflix Streaming account. Can't justify actually paying additional scrilla to watch something that sounds so silly.

if you're going to make a big budget film with half decent CGI monsters - please - for the love of all - get rid of this idea that shaky "student" type filming helps the film. Gah its good when its something quirky like Blair Witch; but seriously in other films it just gets in the way and is a right pain in the neck

Yes it does seem to be the easy-way-out now. Rather than set up an actual story line, it is much easier to just claim 'documentary' and hand-hold the camera.
