Hi Guys!

KLM recently asked me to attempt a photograph of a KLM aircraft landing in the dark.. I thought to myself they're nuts..... So off I went...

The result..

I am diggin this!!

people are posting panning on cars, panning on motorcycles, you're doing panning on planes. If you can pan a plane going 150mph, at that zoom level, that's hardcore man. Well done.

Awesome shot! what settings & lens?

Hi there,

Thanks to everyone for the kind comments, Its kinda reassuring that work like this is accepted! :)

Shot with 50D / 100-400L F/5, ISO1000, 1/30sec shot at 235mm.

I work at the airfield on a U.S. base in Japan.

I want to shoot some of the planes that I work with so bad (C-17s, C-130s, KC-10s, KC-135s, etc). I just worked a pair of KC-135s last night.

They don't allow cameras on the flightline though....

Edit: There are also Japanese F-2s, and U.S. F-16s flying all day just about every day.

Rules are meant to be broken Neil.
