This was one of those weekends when you think nothing is going to go your way but then everything seems to go your way, first we set a date for this trip, then bad weather was forecast, but i decided to just go anyway, and my friends agreed, so we set off on a weekend trip ill never forget, Mt Taranaki in New Zealand has to be one of the best looking volcanoes on earth its active but quiescent stratovolcano in the Taranaki region on the west coast mid way up the North Island, but the best views are near Pouakai Hut on another smaller volcano where you can find this little pond, when we got to the top it was cloudy, but we waited and waited and about 5min till sunset the clouds moved away, exposing the whole volcano, it was amazing well worth the 4-5 hour up hill walk.
