Any, any. The best you can afford. Could be second-hand prosumer/pro body or brand new consumer body. You need to know why you need what you need. This is hard to guess at.Which is a good Canon or Nikon for not a monster price tag?
Thanks in advance
Not to sound flippant about it. Both Canon and Nikons' current and legacy systems offer equal levels of sophistication and functionality, as well as a full range of lenses and accessories. Canon cameras have a shorter sensor-to-flange register that allows greater adaptability if you wish to explore a variety of vintage manual lenses. (With regard to Nikon SLRs, Tamron's Adaptall system negates the need to utilise an after-market lens adapter with an extra optical element; the system's adapters 'natively' mount various bodies - Nikon bodies will otherwise need an adaptor that includes an optical element, which is not desirable IMO) Tamron's AD2 ("SP") vintage lenses are manual focus, but the best lenses in the system are all multi-coated, a few also have aspheric surfaces and are good performers.
