All three of my slr cameras all with their 50mm lenses. The EM was my first non point and shoot. The X-700 was the camera that got me into photography. My uncle just recently gave it to me along with all his old lenses. And the D5100 is my current camera. Who else still has their first slr?

Don't mind the dirty wall.

While the 5100 isn't my thing (it is for a lot of people and there's probably a good reason for it), the other two are fantastic. There's something about old SLRs that just works for me. The Minolta is particularly awesome.

Edit: I mean while that Nikon isn't my thing, a lot of people swear by them. Personal preference.

Oh I get why. In between owning the EM and d5100 I drifted away from photography. I got it as a gift from the wife to get back into it. I really wanna upgrade to the D7100 or D800 next year.

I still have my first SLR....it was a late 1950's Zeiss-Ikon Contaflex, with a 45mm f/2.8 Pantar lens, non-instant return mirror, and interlocking shutter speed and f/stops coupled to an external, selenium-cell, match-needle metering system. It had an interlens (aka leaf) shutter that went up to 1/500 second. here's an old photo of it made maybe a decade ago.

I was in 7th grade when I bought this thing with money I had earned splitting oak firewood for an elderly lady named Mrs. Middleton. She gave me 50 cents per paper sack full of split wood, and she wanted it split into small, kitchen trash-burner type stove thickness pieces...wow...what a PITA that was. I payed $59.95 for this in 1977, which was just about THE cheapest used SLR I could mail-order from Popular Photography magazine.

I wish those prices were current! I love the look of that thing!
