My cousins- C&C please

I'm still learning a lot about focus, color, etc. How do these look? I know the one of both of them is terrible... what do you do when you have two kids? How do you pose them?

I was using a 580ex speedlight, do you think my use of flash was right?

Two me the first two look great, especially the first one, great lighting and focus and the DOF. ON the last one their faces seem over exposed.

On the first one - I think that if you had watched the background (yellow thing is distracting and tree is growing out of her head) and cropped some off the left, you would have had a frame-worthy protrait. Set it up and try it again. - TF

To me the first one looks under exposed a little.?

For me the first one is pretty darn good. I personally love the lighting on her face. I think you can crop some more of that couch away, but I really like it.

Ooh the last one makes me shudder. I'm sure no-one was hurt, but I don't like the whole eye-gouging!
