My D3100 fallen from me on the floor

Hi,
MY D3100 fell on the floor from me while holding it...now i changed different lenses i have but always get a black photo!
the screen itself is working and displaying parameters...but photos are always black.. anybody have an idea about what could have been damaged, or hopefully if i can do something with settings if it have changed from the drop itself...Thanks for all of you.

I think it is better for a trained professional to take a look at your camera and the lens that was mounted on the camera when it felt. I do not think there is a setting to fix a problem like that.

If all the photos come out black, I think it could be related to the shutter did not open or the mirror did not flip when you took those photos. Again, it is better to have a professional to take a look at it.

If the rear LCD shows a solid black image, it's likely the shutter never opens so light can get to the image sensor. However, it could also be something else.
You don't mention if you heard anything when the shutter was released after the drop. The noise the camera makes is mostly from the mirror moving, not the shutter.

A new shutter is about $250.

Because your camera has impact damage, which isn't covered by the warranty, any qualified camera repair shop can fix it. You can, but don't need to, send it to a Nikon repair facility.
