Few things come immediately to mind for me:

- there is nothing to the right of the subject that adds anything to the photo, other than maybe distraction. I think a portrait-oriented crop would be more appropriate here.
- the face could use some fill
- watch the backgrounds--try to keep them as free of "stuff" as possible (I know it's easier said than done when snapping candid shots, which I'm assuming this one is)

I agree that a different crop (square?) might strengthen this. I like the background details, though, there's a bit of scene-setting.

Her expression is awesome. *something* is going on, but we don't know what. the background should help us fill in the details, but actually helps not a bit, which helps with the awesome. Love me some ambiguity.

I actually really like the shadow to the right I just wish that it was higher because my eye keeps wanting to go to the top of the window where it is white and bright there and not to the girls face. I wish her chin was a bit closer to her elbow and that maybe her head was tilted a bit downwards? maybe....... I dunno something about her face and positioning that is bothering me. also her eyes seem like she was caught off guard, not sure what your plan was but if you were wanting something a bit soft and romantic I would have asked her to drop her eyes to her wrist as well. Just a few thoughts out loud
