I thought of you when I first saw the post. The OP is posting pictures of fairy statues, she's from florida and she's getting a d3100 (not sure if that's the same one you are getting) soon. oh and she has a p&s.

I was thinking - this is probably BlackRose or her long lost sister

Lol and she shot these particular photos with coolpix, same as what I shot my fairy statue with. Creepy! LOL!

It gets creepier! I have 8 fairy statues, I just realized one of them being the same as the first one in the OP.

All of my photos were taken with P&S. Most with The Nikon Coolpix. It can produce nice photos. This one is a fairy statue taken with the same camera you used.

I really like the shading on this!
