My Favs From the Prom Set

I just finished re-editing the prom set I did (they were wayyyy too warm first go round). These are my two favourite shots (other than the ones I posted in the other thread

)

C&C is welcome and greatly appreciated!

I really like this one of Paige, she was beyond easy to shoot, soooo photogenic and NO makeup!

Wondering on the composition most, would landscape have worked here? or is there enough room in the direction she is looking? Should I have tried to get her head to toe?

This one I snapped on the deck after we were done shooting, she was waiting for everyone else to be ready.
I had to bring the exposure up a fair amount on this one, it is def. warm but I like the colouring.
Wish I didn't cut off her poor ear or the top of her head.

I really really like that 2nd picture. Great capture. Too bad it wasn't caught under better lighting conditions...I love that look.

Not sure what it is about it but I'm really liking the first one. I'm prefering your portrait as oposed to Landscape but I also don't know what the rest of the background looks like. Loving the pose on the second. Definatly could use a bit of lighting as its dark but you said you upped the Exposure so uping any more I guessing is Going to blow the hightlights in the glasses out. Other wise Nice job.

Seriously she is yellow. Get a gray card or carry a blank white sheet of paper in your bag and set a custom white balance before shooting.

I like #2 but it feels too tight and I dont like how you clipped her ear. But it has the attitude. :thumbup:

Love no2 but yeh could be much better with better lighting

First image is very special for me.Second image need some editing as like lighting is very dark and the models need some retouching.

There is more of the large cedar tree for background but it becomes pretty busy with green I think. I upped it 1 stop for this edit, I was playing around with upping it more and converting to b&w and it might be a neat version

The highlights don't blow but it gets pretty noisy.

I will do that and I'm going to leave these images be until I'm properly set up for editing. I'm pretty sure the bulk of the issues is me in PP in both sets I've posted. I'm hoping in the next couple weeks to be finally able to rebuild our desktop, I'm literally shooting in the dark with what I have to work with right now.
As for it being too tight, that is my worst habit and I'm trying very very hard to break it lol

Thanks, agree! I think it might have some potential as a B&W.

There is definitely some funky shadows on the right side of her upper lip and the bridge of her nose, I noticed them when I was playing around with a black and white conversion. I'll likely play with it again at some point to see what I come up with
