My first attempt at flower pics

These are just shots from around my house....as soon as all the flowers are out (still some unbloomed ones at my house) i'll go out searching for more flowers so I can practice these shots ...

The second photo is very dramatic with beautiful lighting! The composition is good and very sharp. The first frame is good, but for some reason I lose interest fast.

thanks a lot! i can't wait until spring/summer is in full effect so i can start trying these shots out more. I like the first one becuase i didn't think it would come out that sharp, i personally love the DOF of it
