My first dragon

[fiziwig]

I haven't been having any luck finding dragon flies. Then at the ponds this morning a couple of nice ladies with formidable cameras (and much more knowledge of dragon flies than I) demonstrated for me how to find them. Once they showed me how to spot them, I saw them everywhere!

Here's my very first caught on camera. I have no idea what kind it is. Time to hit the bug books.

They're beautiful buggies! This is a nice photo, but I think the head is a little soft and there is a stem of something coming out of its head. I bet these insects (technically not bugs, I know) are very difficult to find motionless and in good poses. Let's see more.
