I think the crop is a bit too tight, also I think it looks more like a candid photo rather then a portrait. I would bump the contrast up a tad as well Cute kid!

I'm not so sure this works well as a portrait. Crop is tight, background doesn't add, and the head positioning is not flattering. As a candid, I'd like to see a story or some emotion... neither of which I can see here.

I know it can be hard as kids (mine never stays still) move around a lot but how about start with a basic seated position and go from there.

I feel part of his neck is cut off. I'm guessing I'd like to see the start of the sweater, the u-shape of the collar.

skin is too yellow and i think eye contact for this one would have been better
